He is currently the Communications Coordinator at MIKIA Kenya, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s media output and public engagement strategies. With a Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies, Santana’s expertise spans media production, social media management, and corporate communications, making him a central figure in the documentation and dissemination of Indigenous Knowledge and cultural preservation.
At MIKIA Kenya, Santana oversees the production of Indigenous content, ensuring it is both accessible and impactful for its intended audience. His work supports the organization’s mission of documenting and safeguarding Indigenous Knowledge, bridging generations by facilitating the transfer of knowledge from the elders (Knowledge Holders) to the younger generations in the community. This invaluable knowledge is preserved in public facilities specially designed for easy access by Indigenous Peoples, ensuring that it remains a living, breathing part of the culture for generations to come.
